Why ?
Aishwarya Roy (Raka)
Class ix
Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar Kolkata.
Why is the country India fully corrupted?
Why the politicians are never interrupted?
Why are the citizens always in a state of fighting?
Why they never give rest to the sword and pick up a pen for writing?
Why is there a division between boys and girls?
Why we citizens never dive into the ocean of
Talents and search for the hidden pearls?
Why are we dividing into states?
Why don't we join each others' hands and form a group of mates?
Why do we give foods to the one (Almighty) who cannot eat?
Why don't we give food to ones who actually need?
Why is the Government wearing blinkers and having a narrow vision?
Why is it releasing the criminals and sending innocents to the prison?
Why are we stupidly waiting for someone to make us awake?
When we didn't choose the real leaders and discard the fake?
Why don't you agree that a student can change many people?
It can surely happen if a student follows the quote," I alone cannot
Change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples!"
India had a glorious past but is having a developing present,
Now why don't we take the pledge to make its future pleasant?
Why don't we revolt against wrong, voice our opinion and advocate
About our own equality?
Why don't we really help poor instead of feeling pity?
We know that hard work is success' key,
Why don't we believe that transformed India is in me?
Why don't we put our best foot forward in search of an
India that would one day become terror free?
Why don't we nourish the plant that would one day become a big tree?
Why don't we spread happiness and erase the word 'Cry'?
Why don' we really do all these things instead of asking Why?
just wonderful writing dear Aishwarya, but i don't have the answer of your so simple quarries.
উত্তরমুছুনCarry on your writing, God bless you.
A Class ix student from Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar Kolkata. ,Aishwarya Roy (Raka) has raised a barrage of questions in her poem, "Why ?" All these question are no childish ones, rather are to be thought of with due perspective. These are those bothering questions we dare to ask, prefer to turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to them conveniently . Hope prevails that these breed of new generation will scavenge the society in due time, which we cowardly fail to accomplish .I salute this child on this auspicious Children's Day.
উত্তরমুছুনDuring our schooldays,, we had put similar questions to our Teachers on the occasion of 50th Independence Day...There were confused answers from the audience.....This write-up obviously makes me nostalgic.....I wish the budding writer all the best wishes. You will one day learn to stay afloat in this indifferent world.
