ইংরাজী কবিতা - ইশিতা লাহা

Miniature Adult
Ishita Laha

Hurried child’- rightly termed
By an eminent David Elkind
Highlighting the concerns that goes
Unnoticed and neglected-
Often suppressed beneath the
Overscheduled affairs of the day.

Though only little can be done
With childhood moving indoors
Swapped by iPhones and iPads
Obsessed with Í’, ‘myself’- PRIMACY
On the pretext of current commerce

Parents’ desire turn demands
Of raising an alpha child
Confusing their needs with child’s dreams
Marooning them off their wishes
Blindly pushing them to proviso.

In building up the Protagonist
Etching scars on their innocence
Gambling with little minds
Parents’ fail to translate-
Growing up Fast can Mean
NOT Going Far in Life.
